Clary Sage Essential Oil is extracted by steam distillation from the leaves and the flowers of the plant which was originally native to France and Italy. It is a perennial plant closely related to garden sage. Clary sage essential oil contains linalyl acetate, alpha terpineol, linalool, sclareol and geranyl acetate. According to research, it has a wide variety of medicinal properties including antibacterial, astringent, antifungal and anti-inflammatory properties.
