Soy Milk & Cocoa Powder-Chocolate Bentonite Clay Face Mask
This you will need:
Step 7: Apply the mask. Using a paintbrush, small spatula or your fingertips apply the mask evenly to your face. If you do not have a brush and are using your fingertips, ensure that your hands are clean. Be sure that the application of the mask is even and smooth. Avoid going too close to your eyes or mouth. Don't forget your neck!
Step 8: Set a timer. Your set length of time you will vary based on the type of mask you are using and the type of skin you have. It is typically recommended to leave the mask on for no more than 15 minutes. Remove the mask while the clay is still slightly wet, if it is completely dry and cracked then it has been too long.
Step 9: Place cucumber slices on your eyes (optional) and relax.
Step 10: Remove the mask. Use warm water and soft damp towel (if you prefer) to gently remove the mask. Do not scrub. Be sure to gently wipe your hairline and neck.
Step 11: Pat skin dry with a clean towel. Following with a toner is optional. Avoid applying too much moisturizer, as this will clog your freshly-cleared pores.
The type of clay mask and amount of water used will determine the outcome of the clay consistency. Therefore, the clay masks are basically customizable. If you prefer thicker clay simply add less water, if you prefer smoother clay add more water.
